Introducing IT Leadership Lab - A New Community for IT to help IT

The NinjaOne Community is an incredibly rare and intentional group of more than 6,500 dedicated MSP and IT leaders and practitioners (in addition to our 17,000+ customers), committed to sharing technical tips, tricks, strategies, ROI, gripes (sometimes), feedback, and more with one another. Not only are they committed to helping each other get the most value out of our technology, they also help us ensure our innovation engine continues to chart the right path forward.

From our product pipeline to our go-to-market strategies, our customers are the north star for the way that we work, think, operate, innovate, and generally do business. Our community does so much for us and for each other that we’re continuously looking for ways to give back.

Introducing the IT Leadership Lab!

We’re excited and proud to announce The IT Leadership Lab – a hub curated and cultivated for IT leaders, professionals, technicians, enthusiasts, and everyone in between looking to further their careers in the world of IT.

When we talk with IT leaders, they often share a similar “origin story” — once a high-performing individual contributor, they get called on to become a team lead or manager. Suddenly, they need a different skillset than the technical one they relied on to get them to this point, and most of the time they’re left to figure that out on their own.

IT Leadership Lab is a community for new, aspiring, and experienced IT leaders to help each other succeed throughout that transition and beyond. It has nothing much to do with NinjaOne (other than our Community team dreamed it up, built it, and will moderate it to make sure it’s a great forum that helps you with work and your career).

As our Community Manager Brittany Brown puts it:

“Whether you’re a hardened veteran or are freshly promoted into an IT leadership role, there are always uncharted waters in IT that can be hard to navigate. Maybe you’ve been tasked to put together a yearly budget, but the topic of accounting leaves you scratching your head. Or maybe you’ve been given the go-ahead to expand your automation team, but you’ve never created a team structure from the ground-up.

Welcome to the IT Leadership Lab, a place for IT leaders to talk shop and get access to guides, templates, presentations, and documents from peers within the space. With help from experienced IT leaders, you’ll find actionable resources (called Blueprints) that act as a starting point for a variety of different workflows.”

In the IT Leadership Lab, you can expect to find:

  • Expert Q&As – where our panel of experts are here to answer the most frequently asked questions while giving their insight into the decision-making process.
  • The Community Hub – an open forum designed for IT leaders in organizations of all shapes and sizes to get feedback, revel in shared successes, and network with peers.
  • Blueprints – where IT leaders share everyday resources, from budget to product evaluation templates, to serve as a checklist for applying the same best practices within your organization.

Our hope for the IT Leadership Lab is to leverage the purpose and power of the IT community to help individuals – regardless of role or position – get ahead in their IT careers. You don’t even have to be affiliated with NinjaOne to join.

All are welcome to the IT Leadership Lab. So check it out, invite your friends, and drop in a resource or question (or two!).

We can’t wait to see how you put the IT Leadership Lab to good use – and if you ever have any thoughts or suggestions on how we can improve the experience, drop us a note!😊 We look forward to growing and evolving the IT Leadership Lab alongside you, and we hope it serves as a useful resource for the next crop of IT leaders.
